“…These two receptions are those of Michel Foucault and Franz Hinkelammert, the last one being a representative figure of the Latin American’s critical theory. The essay will show an analysis and an explanation of both interpretations about the neoliberalism, that is also crossed by clearly different political experiences: while Foucault talks about neoliberalism from the context of his inquiries about the liberal governmentality and a distancing from the Marxism of his time, Hinkelammert will do it from the experience of the coup in Chile and the institutional implementation of the neoliberalism in that country. …”
