| Sumario: | This paper reports the case of a 53-year-old female patient, who was admitted to the Instituto Estatal de Cancerología, Acapulco, Guerrero, with a tumor lesion with obvious deformation of the nose with the ulcerated surface, purulent discharge, erythema and induration, as well as areas of necrosis and the periphery of the tumor, erythematous, infiltrated, suggesting a pathology associated; we thought in a opportunistic infection, by secundary cryptococcus because her status of immunosuppression. Diagnosis was confirmed by a needle biopsy for culture in Sabouraud dextrose agar and smears stained with basic fucsina + Indian ink stain. The Oncology Department began treatment with chemotherapy CHOP (vincristine, doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide and prednisolone), given the lack of improvement of the patient, it was decided to give adjunctive radiotherapy, but the patient's family applied for voluntary egress. Comunicamos el caso de una paciente de 53 años de edad, que fue hospitalizada en el Instituto Estatal de Cancerología Arturo Beltrán, en la ciudad de Acapulco, Guerrero, por manifestar notoria deformación de la nariz, de superficie ulcerada, con secreción purulenta, eritema e induración, así como áreas de necrosis; en la periferia del tumor tenía lesiones eritematosas, infiltradas, que sugerían un padecimiento asociado debido a su condición de inmunosupresión. La biopsia por aspiración para cultivo en agar dextrosa de Sabouraud y frotis teñido con fucsina básica y tinta china confirmó criptococosis secundaria. El servicio de Oncologi'a inicio' tratamiento con el esquema de quimioterapia CHOP (vincristina, doxorrubicina, ciclofosfamida y prednisolona). Debido a la poca mejori'a de la paciente, se programó tratamiento complementario con radioterapia, pero la familia de la paciente solicitó su alta voluntaria. |
