The article presents the results of the analysis of village gathering verdicts and proceedings of citizens' general meetings in some villages of Pskov and Novgorod provinces in the 1920s. These texts contain the speeches of communist agitators in front of the inhabitants of some villages. The analysis of the documents lets us to get idea of the emerging Lenin's image as a backbone element of the totalitarian regime arising in the Soviet Union. In studied primary sources Vladimir Ilyich Lenin is called in two ways: 1) according to his last name, i.e. "Lenin", or 2) according to his patronymic, i.e. "Ilyich". Using of Lenin's patronymic in the speeches of Bolshevik agitators was intended to highlight the respect for Lenin's person and his closeness to the common people. Such a manner of address was widespread in everyday Russian peasants' life, easily understood by them, and made Lenin's image much closer and more familiar. In agitators' speeches designed for peasants we can find different epithets of Lenin. He is "the leader of the oppressed people of the world", "great leader", "teacher of working-people", "Great Teacher". Lenin has many hypostases. He seems to appear in many persons. In several documents we have also found an interesting designation of the "Collective Lenin". "Collective Lenin" is the Russian Communist Party of Bolsheviks (RCP(b)). Hence, throughout the Soviet Russia (and even the world) it was impossible to find a man comparable to Lenin. Only the Communist Party could be compared to Lenin because of his greatness. Therefore, in the speeches of agitators Lenin's image is inseparable from the Communist Party. In the 1920s all vectors of handling mass consciousness joined in a single direction of propagation of the belief that the Communist Party (like Lenin) is everywhere, that it is everything, and that there is nothing without it.

Šajos tekstos atspoguļotas komunistisko aģitatoru uzstāšanās atsevišķu ciemu iedzīvotāju priekšā. Dokumentu analīze ļauj gūt priekšstatu par V. Ļeņina kulta kā sistēmas elementa rašanos PSRS totalitārā režīma veidošanas laikā.
