In case of incorrect diagnosis, a rare, very contagious and severe form of scabies (Norwegian scabies) can develop with use of topical corticosteroids in patients with scabies. In this case report, we present a case of Norwegian scabies that appeared after long-term topical corticosteroid use in a 20-year-old otherwise healthy male patient who was successfully treated with a sulfur containing topical formulation.
