ab: Account development manager, Brie Betz (Elsevier), librarian Stephanie Willen Brown (University of Connecticut, Storrs), and Deb Barberi, one of two Student Ambassador graduate students at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, worked together to promote the use of Scopus and Web of Science, large abstract and citation databases, to graduate students on campus. The publisher paid stipends for the Student Ambassadors (SAms) and provided training and instructional and marketing materials. The librarian assisted with training and orientation and provided oversight of the program. The SAms marketed the instruction sessions and presented the use of Scopus and Web of Science to their graduate student peers.
