| Sumario: | In order to build on and improve the palliative care knowledge and skills of the district nurses in Cardiff, and the Vale of Glamorgan, the South East Wales Cancer Network in partnership with the local NHS Trust, commissioned Cardiff University to develop, implement and audit a bespoke distance learning style module in the foundations of end of life and palliative care. This will be utilised as an internal requirement for all band 5 and 6 nurses. The outcomes will determine whether the module is suitable as an All-Wales programme and whether it has potential for use with other disciplines. |
