Description
Summary:This paper describes the development of a multidisciplinary care pathway for an inpatient assessment and treatment unit, for people with learning disabilities and mental health problems or challenging behaviour. Early results suggest the care pathway development has been useful in a number of areas including risk management, assessment of capacity developing care plans, the routine use of outcome measures and increased throughput. Formal documentation has been developed to support the pathway and deficits in provision of specific service areas are now easily identified.
