| Sumario: | Long-serving fiction editorial director of publishing company HarperCollins (HC), Patricia Parkin is to step down. She will continue to work for the publisher as a consultant to many of her authors. Parkin, who has returned to HC after a year off recovering from cancer, has worked at the company for 26 years, having joined from Granada Publishing on its acquisition. She has edited Barbara Taylor Bradford throughout her career at both companies for 25 years, and her other bestselling authors have included Robert Ludlum, Frank Delaney and Nelson DeMille.
