| Sumario: | The reliability and construct validity of three separate form constancy perceptual scales from The Developmental Test nof Visual Perception, Second Edition (DTVP-2), Test of Visual Perceptual Skills (non-motor)-Revised (TVP-SR), and Motor-Free Visual Perception Test-Revised (MVPT-R) were examined. Performance scores from a group of 356 typically developing children, ages 5 to 11 years old, were used to complete the data analysis. The results indicated that the DTVP-2 and TVPS-R form constancy scales exhibited acceptable levels of internal consistency while the MVPT-R form constancy scale yielded a low internal consistency score. Convergent and divergent validity of the three scales were found to be within acceptable parameters. However, confirmatory factor analysis of the three scales revealed multiple factor loadings on the DTVP-2 and TVPS-R form constancy scales. These two scales appeared to be multidimensional instead of being unidimensional. Recommendations regarding the clinical utility of the three form constancy scales are included in the paper.
