The results of the study suggest that the achievement level of student nurses in theoretical IT studies is reasonably high. There remain, however, certain areas of study (such as operating systems) that require an increased input. The practical skills of student nurses are restricted to the use of word processing software on PCs as well as peripherals. Their knowledge of how to use healthcare information systems is limited. This is due to lacking opportunities for student nurses to practise using these systems. Student nurses showed a positive attitude towards computer use in healthcare. They are also highly motivated for further IT studies in the future. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: research tables/charts Journal Article ougenre: Article language: English refInfo: holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
