| Summary: | Skill laboratories are often an integral element in nursing programs. This article reports on the design and development of a computerized management system for the laboratory to automate much of the paperwork involved in such a program. Student files and evaluation records and a large supplies inventory are now accessible via computer terminal. The system was implemented in the 1987-1988 academic year. It is anticipated that the management program will result in a more cost-effective administrative system for the laboratory. |
