| Sumario: | A complex developmental exercise program was implemented to inhibit the retained Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (STNR), to train associated immature fine-motor skills, and to establish age-appropriate spatial orientation and lateral dominance in a 10-year-old boy. Exercises were selected from: (1) an active Extra Lesson therapy) and (2) a passive(Chirophonetics Therapy) remedial exercise program. The exercises were practiced with the treatment provider (author) in a single, one-hour weekly session, over three six-week periods. Exercises were given to the mother for home-practice with her son as well. After treatment, the STNR was fully inhibited (tests negative) in both the occipital and sacral responses; motorcoordination, balance and spatial orientation, proprioception and body geography skills improved; and formerly inconsistent lateral dominance was comprehensively established on the right side of the body. Furthermore, the client's school reported significant improvement of pencil grip and handwriting; and the family confirmed the client's cessation of nocturnal enuresis, much improved arm-technique in swimming, mastering to ride a bicycle, and an improved ability to converse while performing physical tasks.
