| Sumario: | Technology has proVided the profession greater access to information and education, This technology ranges from mobile devices, webinars, electronic databases, to the Internet. This technology can be used at any time and place, providing information for learning in the classroom or online and problem solving issues in the clinical setting, However, this same technology can be used to cheat and plagiarize. How this technology is used to cheat, by whom and for what reasons is discussed. The ethics ofcheating is also discussed from a deontological and teleological viewpoint. Because cheating and plagiarizing are intrinsically wrong and can lead to harm. they must be contained. Although eradicating dishonesty is an impossible task, implementing the strategies for creating a culture ofhonesty as described in this article can counteract it.
