Although Marxism has ceased to be a paradigm to explain the collective action, problems and questions arose from this three dilemmas fully, answers are still demanded. Therefore, its study might be a way to suggest an hypothesis or at least to understand knowledge limitations in this research field. Este trabajo reconstruye los principales problemas a los que se enfrentó la teoría marxista en su intento por explicar la acción colectiva: La tensión agencia/estructura, el problema del sujeto, y el dilema vanguardismo/ espontaneísmo. Aunque el marxismo ha dejado de ser un paradigma para explicar completamente la acción colectiva, los problemas y preguntas que se desprenden de esos tres dilemas, aún reclaman respuestas.
