The place of theatre in helping to find answers to the burning question of gender equality cannot be discountenanced. However, the establishment of the truth-value that is at the base of this contest has not been critically pursued. This paper thus sets out to establish the truth-value of the proposition: men and women are created equal as asserted in the play Our Husband has Gone Mad Again, by Ola Rotimi through one of the female characters, Liza. Employing the Tarskian truth conditional semantics theory as modified by Kempson (1977), it is found that the conditions within the text in its process of conflict resolution positively affirm the truth-value of the proposition.
