Needs and interests of both teachers and students may be satisfied through technology based materials and devices, supporters in multimedia. This study was carried on to determine subject matter teachers', working in primary and secondary school in Muğla city center, awareness level on instructional technologies and materials. 122 participants, including 68 females and 34 males, attended to the study. The data collection tool which was designed by the researchers considering the educational sciences specialists' opinions and evaluations was applied to the participants. The instrument was found efficient for the study after validity and reliability analysis' results were satisfied. In addition to awareness level, participants were asked to respond the frequency level of used instructional technologies and materials. In the instrument, items related to instructional Technologies and materials were categorized under 5 headings according to their belonged section as visual/printed materials, reflectors, boards, technology based devices, and audio/visual devices. The results were evaluated based on the gender, years of seniority on duty, and teachers' state on attendance to inservice trainings and/or seminars. In the study, it was found that in general frame, subject matter teachers' awareness level on instructional technologies and materials was positively high. For the gender variable, female teachers were found to have higher awareness level compared to male teachers. The results also showed that subject matter teachers with more years of seniority on duty had higher awareness level on instructional technologies and materials. Additionally, teachers who attended or had tendency towards attending in-service training and/or seminars related to their field area. Consequently, it was found that teachers with high awareness level on instructional technologies and materials responded that they used these technologies and materials very often. Teknoloji çağının, eğitim dinamizmine olan doğrudan ve dolaylı etkisi, eğitim çalışmalarının bir parçası olmuştur. Öğretmen ve öğrencilerin ilgi ve ihtiyaçları teknoloji araç ve gereçleri, materyalleri ve destekleyicileri ile çoklu ortamlarda daha etkili karşılanmaktadır. Bu çalışma Muğla ili merkezinde çalışan ortaokul ve lise branş öğretmenlerinin öğretim teknolojilerine ve materyallerine farkındalık düzeylerini belirlemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya 68 kadın ve 34 erkek olmak üzere 122 öğretmen katılmıştır. Katılımcılara eğitim bilimleri uzmanlarının görüşleri ve değerlendirmeleri alınarak, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen veri toplama aracı uygulanmıştır. Veri toplama aracının geçerlik ve güvenirlik analizleri yapılmış ve çalışma için uygun bulunmuştur. Farkındalık düzeylerinin yanı sıra, bilinen öğretim teknolojileri ve materyallerini kullanım sıklığı da katılımcılara sorulmuştur. Veri toplama aracında yer alan öğretim teknolojileri ve materyallerine yönelik araç-gereçler, basılı-yazılı ve görsel materyaller 5 farklı kategoride toplanarak değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem ve eğitim ve seminerlere katılım durumuna göre değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda branş öğretmenlerinin genel değerlendirmede öğretim teknolojileri ve materyallerine farkındalık düzeyleri olumlu yönde yüksek belirlenmiştir. Cinsiyet değişkenine göre kadın öğretmenlerin erkek öğretmenlere göre farkındalık düzeyleri daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Meslekte çalışma yılı arttıkça öğretim teknolojileri ve materyallerine farkındalığın da arttığı ve eğitim ve seminerlere katılımın fazla olduğu, bu durumun da farkındalık düzeyini olumlu etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
