Sumario:The author discusses several ways to deal with a slow online computer library catalog (OCLC) terminal. Dancing is a good activity that makes slow response bearable. Terminal operators who are always trying to improve their mind can do math exercises. The author recommends a problem to solve before the terminal responds. Another way to pass the time is to knit at the terminal. Terminal operators can also try Cursor Meditation (CM). The author also suggest playing Cathode Ray Tube Pong. The author envisions the development of a series of engrossing soap operas for additional day-time audience or terminal operators. The author also discovered that a blinking cursor is an effective hypnotic tool.
