Currently, the rehabilitation counseling literature involving working with lupus appears scant. The current article aims to address this deficit by offering data-driven recommendations and an applied approach for conceptualizing a client living with lupus. The authors use a case study based on the lived experience of an individual with lupus as a means to provide anecdotal information about specific areas to consider when providing services to individuals living with this condition.
