Sumario:Service learning in a developing country can be a transformative experience, especially when we engage in contemplative practices such as journaling. This is a reflection on the application of Buddhist concepts while serving as an advisor on a service learning trip to Guatemala. The writer explores mindfulness, acceptance, and compassion while journaling on the trip. Insight is provided regarding how to deepen the connection of the advisor's and the students' experiences.
