Editors' introduction to the special issue: papers from LREC 2014.

An introduction to the journal is presented in which the editors discuss topics within the issue including the use of graph-based disambiguation algorithms, database used to evaluate the spoken language recognition technology on video-sharing website YouTube audios, and machine translation systems.
