Sumario:Avicenna (d. 428/1037), who is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures of the Islamic philosophy, has written many works on different fields. One of his important works is Dânişnâme-i 'alâî which is a kind of encyclopedic work that consists of Logic, Metaphysic, Fizic and Mathematic sections written in Persian Language. This work remembles summary of eş-Şifâ and deals with the views of Avicenna on Peripatetic philosophy in a brief, unsophisticated and didactic way. With these basic features Dânişnâme-i 'alâî became a source for the opinion of el-Gazzâlî (d. 505/1111) about Peripatetic philosophy. Hence, the work of named Makâsıdu'l-felâsife of el-Gazzâlî is a summary of Dânişnâme-i 'alâî.
Hiç şüphesiz, İslam felsefesinin en önemli simalarından birisi olan İbn Sînâ (ö. 428/1037), değişik alanlarda birçok eser kaleme almıştır. Onun önemli eserlerinden birisi de Mantık, Metafizik, Tabî'iyyât ve Riyâziyyât bölümlerinden oluşan Farsça telif ettiği ansiklopedik nitelikteki Dânişnâme-i 'alâî'dir. Bir yönüyle eş-Şifâ adlı külliyâtının bir özetini andıran bu eser, İbn Sînâ'nın Meşşâî felsefesine yönelik görüşlerini özet, sade ve didaktik bir şekilde ele alan bir kitaptır. Bu temel özellikleriyle Dânişnâme-i 'alâî, el- Gazzâlî'nin, (ö. 505/1111) Meşşâî felsefesi hakkındaki görüşlerine kaynaklık etmiştir. Buradan hareketle el-Gazzâlî'nin Makâsıdu'lfelâsife adlı eseri, Dânişnâme-i 'alâî'nin bir özetidir.
