Sumario:	Follow the Money (followthemoney.stanford.edu) is a Web-based mapping project developed at Stanford University's Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis (CESTA). The project represents a multidisciplinary approach to telling a spatial history of federal payment programs, and a team of scholars with diverse expertise is constructing it. (See figure 1.) In this article, the project's participants explain how the project unfolded.
