Sumario:The article discusses the historical evolution of the Nurses' Health Study (NHS) which was launched in 1976, the NHS II project which began in 1989, and the NHS3 program which began in 2010 and has an ongoing enrollment as of 2016. According to the article, these studies involving married registered nurses have produced long-term, multidimensional data regarding lifestyle- and health-related information across the life course. U.S. public health recommendations are also assessed.
