These tumours are mostly located in the gastrointestinal tract and are highly associated to the presence of H. Pylori in the stomach, which can be identified through upper gastrointestinal endoscopy with gastric mucosa biopsy. This case-report refers to a 78 years-old patient with symptoms of asthenia, dyspnea, pallor and anemia of chronic desease which was submitted to total gastrectomy. O presente caso aborda os linfomas não-Hodgkin, características histológicas e epidemiológicas em relação a patogênese, manifestações clínicas e prognóstico em que 40% dos casos são extralinfonodais, representados pelo linfoma MALT e linfoma difuso de grandes células B. Acometem, em sua maioria, o trato gastrointestinal e está altamente associado a presença da H. pylori que pode ser identificada por meia de biópsia da mucosa gástrica obtida através de endoscopia digestiva alta.
