Sumario:Quality of life (QOL) can be regarded as a relationship of objectives, expectations, concerns and patterns of the individual and your perception, as well as their position in life and in the context of culture and value systems in which he lives. The objective of this study is to investigate the QOL of a resident population in the metropolitan region of the city of Porto Alegre and give visibility to the questionnaire SF-6D. Transversal Character Study. The sample consisted of 211 individuals between 40 to 50 years old, residents in a town in the metropolitan region of the city of Porto Alegre. Social-demographic data were collected. The level of physical activity was measured by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and QOL was assessed by Short-form 6 dimensions (SF-6D). The dimensions presented greater values in the SF-6D were pain and vitality, followed by mental health, functional ability, social aspects and physical and emotional aspects. Despite he unfavorable factors present sample population the QV, as social vulnerability and physical inactivity, the average SF-6D (SFindex-0.85) was relatively good. The instrument serves to track data in relation to the QOL of individuals in environments such as basic health attention.
Qualidade de Vida (QV) pode ser conceituada como a relação dos objetivos, expectativas, preocupações e padrões do indivíduo e a percepção dele frente a isso. Também é possível entendê-la como a posição na vida e no contexto da cultura e sistemas de valores nos quais ele vive. O objetivo deste estudo é investigar a QV e dar visibilidade ao questionário SF-6D. Estudo de caráter transversal, de base domiciliar. A amostra foi constituída por 211 indivíduos entre 40 a 50 anos, residentes em uma cidade da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre. Foram coletados dados sociodemográficos, o nível de atividade física (Questionário Internacional de Atividade Física-IPAQ) e a QV (Short-form 6 dimensions-SF-6D). As dimensões que apresentaram maiores valores no SF-6D foram dor e vitalidade, seguidas por saúde mental, capacidade funcional, aspectos sociais e aspectos físicos e emocionais. Apesar da população da amostra apresentar fatores desfavoráveis a QV, como vulnerabilidade social e inatividade física, a média do SF-6D (SFindex - 0,85) foi relativamente boa. O instrumento serve para rastrear dados em relação à QV de indivíduos em ambientes como a atenção básica em saúde.
