Hardware development in the smartphones and tablet computers causes an increase in the number of software use on these devices. One of the important concepts emphasized in recent years is augmented reality. In augmented reality applications, reality and computer-generated objects are presented together on a same screen via an Internet or local connection. Nowadays, augmented reality is used in different areas such as medical applications, e-commerce, advertising and marketing, entertainment, architecture and interior design, modeling and education. Most research in the literature emphasize the advantages or disadvantages of augmented reality theoretically. However, it is also true that there are some efforts to develop applications in various areas. In this study, an augmented reality application was developed by researchers and development stages were explained step by step. The application takes the location and radar data of some faculty buildings in Gazi University campus and shows the name of the buildings on the mobile device screen. For the research, Wikitude softare development kit was used for coding. The augmented reality application was designed in Android Studio platform for Android operating system. User screens were designed using Html, javascript and CSS.
