While intelligent machines will eventually tend to medical needs, serve the disabled and take care of children, women are the most likely to be affected. A report from the World Economic Forum (WEF) predicting that 5.1 million positions worldwide will be lost by 2020 due to artificial intelligence technology also says that women are projected to take the heaviest hits to jobs in the near future. Technological changes will result in new kinds of jobs while displacing others. Women will lose roles in workforces where they represent high percentages. |
