Thus, the paper analyses the result of part of the data collected by Afrobarometer (a non-partisan, non-partisan research and research project in Africa that measures the attitudes of citizens on democracy and governance, economy, civil society, and other topics) on civic and political participation in Nigeria in 2011/2012. The analysis was descriptive. Responses to questions are presented in percentages showing each response and an analysis of how the highest response relates to the question, and its implications.
