The nursing diagnosis Body image disturbance is present in all the burned people. The approach of this diagnosis is a nursing responsibility, so nurses must carry out the assessment of the functional pattern Self-perception-Self-concept knowing in depth the concepts of «self-concept» and «self-esteem». AIMS. TO identify the most effective nursing interventions to address the Body image disturbance. METHOD. A literature review has been made consulting the following databases PubMed, CINAHL, Cuiden, COCHRANE and Psyclnfo. The main selected articles have been: randomized clinical trials, descriptive studies and literature reviews. RESULTS. The proposed nursing care plan is based on a focused assessment of the functional pattern Self-perception-Self-concept using the Satisfaction With Appeareance Scale and applying the nursing interventions: Cognitive restructuring and Body image enhancement. CONCLUSIONS. Both assessment and interventions have shown to be based on evidence and being an effective way to take care of the Body image disturbance in the burned person. ANTECEDENTES. El diagnóstico enfermero Alteración de la imagen corporal está presente en todas las personas grandes quemadas. Su abordaje es responsabilidad de enfermería y, para ello, será necesaria la valoración del patrón funcional Autopercepdón-Autoconcepto teniendo en cuenta los términos «autoconcepto» y «autoestima». OBJETIVO. Identificar aquellas intervenciones enfermeras más eficaces para el abordaje de la alteración de la imagen corporal en la persona gran quemada. MÉTODO. Se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica consultando las bases de datos PubMed, CINAHL, Cuiden, COCHRANE y Psyclnfo. Los artículos seleccionados han sido principalmente ensayos clínicos aleatorizados, estudios descriptivos y revisiones de la literatura. RESULTADOS. Se plantea un plan de atención de enfermería basado en una valoración del patrón funcional Autopercepción-Autoconcepto que emplee la herramienta Satisfaction With Appearance Scale y cuyas intervenciones enfermeras NIC sean: Reestructuración cognitiva y Mejora de la imagen corporal. CONCLUSIONES.
