EXETER BOOK RIDDLES, II: THE SIGNIFICANT BUT OFTEN MISLEADING OPENING WORD.
A literary criticism of a number of the Old English riddles in the "Exeter Book" is presented. The author discusses how some of the riddles have been translated incorrectly, which has led to erroneous solutions, and mentions the plays on words in a number of the riddles.
