| Sumario: | Jacques Lacan focuses on «imaginary» and «symbolic» concepts. At the level of «imaginary» all illusory synthesizing, centering, identifying I representations are created. Symbolic appears as the determining moment of the mental structure not only logically and «topologically»; the way to the symbolic level and the connection to the intersubjective moments of culture and language is the direction and ontogenetic and phylogenetic deployment of the human psyche. The alienation of a person from his own essence, which begins with identification with a mirror twin at the stage of the imaginary, deepens the measure the occurrence of the subject in the speech field of another in the symbolic stage. This is a situation of forced choice: the subject either refuses to satisfy his hidden most valuable desires and then he can continue to live as a member of a cultural society, or he will not refuse, but then he will be excluded from social life and his desire will still remain dissatisfied. The purpose of the analytical activity is to show the person that at the place of the unknowingly dominant ruler, who imposes ideals and values, which is anticipated by her, is «object a» - that one the person loved and disliked, hated and not enough hated in his childhood. This allows a person to revert to the requests of the past.
