We hope to provide fresh perspectives from those entering our field, in both the United States and other countries. Interested faculty of graduate library and information science programs, who would like their students’ ideas represented in these pages, are invited to contact Miriam L. Matteson. Catherine James is pursuing a Master of Library and Information Studies degree at the University of Alabama. Her essay examines trigger warnings and their impact upon the higher-education community, specifically as emerging ethical dilemmas for academic libraries.
