Sumario:Computed tomography (CT) is a technical and complex diagnostic imaging modality. Radiologic technologists must understand the technology well enough to optimize dose and image quality and provide excellent patient care. This article reviews essential physical principles and technical aspects of CT, including physics related to radiation attenuation and CT numbers along with general technical concepts.
