        Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the methodological trends of the articles published in Turkish in the field of sports management between 2015 and 2017 (last three years) in university-based physical education and sports science magazines which are open to access in the ULAKBİM (The Turkish National Academic Network and Information Center) national database. Method: This study was conducted with the qualitative research method recently started to be frequently used in social sciences. The study was designed as a case study among the qualitative research designs, and the content analysis method was used in the analysis of the data obtained. Findings: It was not stated which research method and design were used in most of the articles examined. Moreover, no information on sampling methods in the studies was acquired. It was determined in the studies that athletes, trainers, executive ministry and federation employees constituted the sample group. However, no information was provided about which sampling method was used in the determination of these sample groups. It was determined that the questionnaire technique was mostly used to obtain data from these groups. Descriptive and predictive analysis methods were mainly used in the analysis of the data obtained. Conclusion: Especially when compared to other fields, it is observed that studies conducted on sports management remain methodologically weak. It is possible to say that the methodological structures of articles are deficient and insufficient, and research methods and techniques cannot be used effectively.
        Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, ULAKBİM ulusal veri tabanında erişime açık olan üniversite merkezli beden eğitimi ve spor bilimleri dergilerinde spor yönetimi alanında 2015-17 yılları (son üç yıl) arasında Türkçe yayınlanan makalelerin yöntemsel eğilimlerini incelemektir. Yöntem: Bu araştırma sosyal bilimlerde son yıllarda sıklıkla kullanılmaya başlanan nitel araştırma yöntemi ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması şeklinde kurgulanmış ve elde edilen verilerin analizde ise içerik analiz yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Bulgular: İncelenen makalelerin büyük bir çoğunluğunda hangi araştırma yöntemi ve deseninden yararlanıldığı belirtilmemiştir. Ayrıca yine çalışmalarda örnekleme yöntemlerine ilişkin de herhangi bir bilgiye ulaşılmamıştır. Araştırmalarda, sporcu, antrenör, yönetici bakanlık ve federasyon çalışanlarının örneklem grubu olduğu belirtilmiştir. Ancak bu örneklem gruplarının belirlenmesinde hangi örnekleme yönteminin kullanıldığına dair bilgi verilmemiştir. Bu gruplardan verilerin elde edilmesinde en çok anket tekniğinin kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde ise ağırlıklı olarak betimsel ve kestirimsel analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Sonuç: Özelikle diğer alanlarla bir mukayese yapıldığında spor yönetimi ile ilgili yapılan çalışmaların metodolojik olarak zayıf kaldığı görülmektedir. Makalelerin yöntemsel yapılarının eksik ve yetersiz kaldığı, araştırma yöntem ve tekniklerinin etkin bir şekilde kullanılamadığı söylenebilir.
