| Sumario: | The article presents the author's comments on the article "Some Application of Aerial Infrared Imagery," by John E. Estes. According to the author, the topic has omitted several important factors which are very important to both the theoretical and empirical aspects of interpretation of aerial infrared imagery of urban areas. One consequence of these omissions may be an overly optimistic view point as to the application of this type of imagery in urban research. Surface temperature variations which are to be detected and measured in the imagery are induced by many factors. |
