| Sumario: | What is the value to occupational therapists of writing and publication in professional development? In this article, I share some of the pleasures and pitfalls of my own writing and publishing experience as a New Zealand occupational therapist. I show how this professional activity provides an array of possibilities, not just for the enthusiastic academic but also for the clinician by stimulating practice ideas.
