Sumario:	This article explores how a part of Lebanese society applied perceived racial differences with West Africans to process, cope with, and respond to France's volteface during World War II. Topics include political decolonization in Lebanon and World War II; role and behavior of the tirailleurs sénégalais during the not- so- distant Lebanese crisis of November 1943; and connection between decolonial Lebanon Western member- states of the United Nations in context to transnational racisms.
