This increase is affected in Turkey. For example, number of students who coming to Turkey for higher education 2013- 2014 academic year, 48.183, this number has increased by more than two times in 4 years and reached 108,076 in 2016-2017 academic year(yok.gov.tr). Turkey's position is, potentially, relations with other countries, belief structure, progress in economic and social fields, foreigners coming to our country has been effective in increasing the number of students. This increasing can be considered as a satisfactory improvement as for Turkey. However, it is important to know more about the problems and difficulties that foreign students who come to my country have a peaceful, comfortable and productive tertiary education. In our country, it is necessary for certain students to identify the problems they have experienced in areas such as private, economic, social, cultural, education, bureaucracy and to solve these problems. The main purpose of this study, is to try to determine the problems faced by foreign students who come to Turkey with the purpose of higher education. The research was carried out at Karabuk University, where about 5 percent of the students who are in formal education are foreign. The result obtained from the survey study on 235 foreign students who are studying in formal education. According to the data obtained from the studies that foreign students stated that they had difficulties with the differences in method of teaching and learning. The students who participated in the research also stated that they have some problems about food and beverages. It has been understood that nearly all of the foreign students use internet and social media as mass media. Furthermore, according to findings from the study, it was understood that the vast majority of foreign students have experienced important problems with respect to accommodation, communication and seasonal differences. Dünyada, yükseköğrenimde yabancı öğrenci dolaşımı gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Bu artıştan Türkiye'de etkilenmektedir. Örneğin yükseköğrenim için Türkiye'ye gelen yabancı uyruklu öğrenci sayısı 2013-2014 eğitim öğretim yılında 48 bin 183 iken, bu sayı 4 yılda iki katından daha fazla artarak 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında 108 bin 076 kişiye ulaşmıştır (yok.gov.tr). Türkiye'nin konumu, potansiyeli, diğer ülkelerle ilişkileri, inanç yapısı, ekonomik ve sosyal alandaki ilerlemeleri, ülkemize gelen yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin sayısının artmasında etkili olmuştur. Bu artış Türkiye açısından memnuniyet verici bir gelişme olarak değerlendirilebilir. Ancak, ülkemize gelen yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin daha huzurlu, rahat ve verimli bir yükseköğrenim süreci geçirebilmeleri için, karşılaştıkları sorunlar ve zorluklar hakkında daha fazla bilgi sahibi olmak büyük önem arz etmektedir. Ülkemizde bulunan misafir öğrencilerin özellikle, ekonomik, sosyal, kültürel, eğitim, bürokrasi gibi temel alanlarda yaşadıkları sıkıntıların tespiti, bu sorunların çözüme kavuşturulabilmesi açısından gereklidir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Türkiye'ye yükseköğrenim maksadıyla gelen yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin karşılaştıkları sorunların neler olduğunu belirlemeye çalışmaktır. Araştırma, örgün eğitim gören öğrencilerinin yaklaşık yüzde 5'ini yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin oluşturduğu Karabük Üniversitesi'nde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen verilere, örgün eğitim gören 235 yabancı uyruklu öğrenci üzerinde yapılan anket çalışması sonucu ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen verilere göre, yabancı uyruklu öğrenciler eğitim öğretim metodundaki farklılıklar konusunda zorluklar yaşadıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Yine araştırmaya katılan öğrenciler yiyecek içecekler konusunda da bazı sorunlar yaşadıklarını dile getirmişlerdir. Yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin tamamına yakınının kitle iletişim aracı olarak internet ve sosyal medyayı kullandığı anlaşılmıştır.
