Sumario:The article discusses the use of fire-forecasting software to reduce the damage that wildfires may bring. Gavriil Xanthopoulos, a wildfire expert at the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food, suggested the application of fire-simulation software. Some of the functions of fire-forecasting software are presented, including the ability to identify how much inflammable materials there is on the land and to bring in data on rainfall, snowfall, sunshine and temperature.
