Summary:This research aims to identify the sectors that are driving the territorial growth and the implications that these have within the coastal municipalities of Sinaloa. The analyzed information considers indicators that provides representative information of the most dynamic economic units in each municipality. The results of the study show that this region exhibits a lower growth compared with the national economy; and, about the sectorial dynamic, the tertiary sector has the highest the highest participation in the productive apparatus of the coastal municipalities, with a growth rate of 4.4%; considering the variation of the GDP in monetary terms, it indicates that a big part of this growth is due to Culiacán and Mazatlán. Therefore, in these cases, the application of a regional economic policy is recommended.
Esta investigación se realizó con el objetivo de identificar los sectores que están impulsando los crecimientos territoriales así como las implicaciones que tienen al interior de los municipios costeros sinaloenses las variaciones en su aparato productivo. La información analizada considera indicadores que tienen la ventaja de proveer información representativa de las unidades económicas más dinámicas de la actividad productiva en cada municipio. Los resultados del estudio muestran que esta región presenta un crecimiento inferior al de la economía nacional; y que en la dinámica sectorial, el sector terciario es el de más alta participación en el aparato productivo de los municipios costeros de Sinaloa, registrando una tasa de crecimiento del 4.4%; mientras que si se toma en cuenta la variación del PIB en términos monetarios, este señala que gran parte del aumento generado en los ingresos de este sector se origina en los municipios de Culiacán y Mazatlán. Por tanto, en estos casos se recomienda la aplicación de una política económica de corte regional.
