Keliamas klausimas, ar pranciškonai gali būti laikomi „pelno ekonomikos" propaguotojais ankstyvųjų moderniųjų laikų Vilniuje, panašiai kaip juos apibūdino Lester K. Little vėlyvųjų viduramžių krikščioniškojo pasaulio miestuose.
