        Search this; hopelessness levels of university students who do sports nd not differ from according to different variables. The research group consists of 400 students studying at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University. In order to answer questions about "Hopelessness Scale", articles with the title "Personal Information Form" should be published. The gauges were applied Kolmogorov Smirnov Test which is not suitable for normal distribution. Since there is no normal distribution, interpretation and interpretation are done by Kruskal Wallis-H test and Mann Whitney-U test. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) package program is available. The mean score of hopelessness (mean = 9.52), mean scores of hopelessness intensity sub-dimensions, mean score of emotions (mean = 1.56) and mean scores of future expectations (mean = 2.69) and high motivation loss mean score. (Avg. = 4.60) was mild. According to personal packaging, the level of hopelessness of arrivals; number of individual members, daily education, family members.
        Bu araştırma; spor yapan ve spor yapmayan üniversite öğrencilerinin umutsuzluk düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma grubunu Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 400 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılanların umutsuzluk düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla, Beck ve arkadaşları tarafından geliştirilen "Umutsuzluk Ölçeği" ile katılımcıların kendileri ve aileleri hakkındaki ilgili bilgilerin alınması amacıyla, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" kullanılmıştır. Ölçümlerin, normal dağılıma uygun olup olamadığını belirlemek için tek örneklem Kolmogorov Smirnov Testi uygulanmıştır. Normal dağılım göstermediği için verilerin çözüm ve yorumlanmasında, Kruskal Wallis-H testi ve Mann Whitney-U testi kullanılarak anlamlılık P<0,05 alınmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde ve hesaplanmış değerlerin bulunmasında SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan katılımcıların umutsuzluk toplam puan ortalamalası (Ort.=9,52) orta düzeyde, umutsuzluk düzeyi alt boyutlarından gelecekle ilgili duygular puan ortalaması (Ort.=1,56) ve gelecekten beklentiler puan ortalaması (Ort.=2,69) ile yüksek düzeyde olduğu ve motivasyon kaybı puan ortalaması (Ort.=4,60) hafif düzeyde olduğu söylenebilir. Kişisel özelliklere göre ise katılımcıların umutsuzluk düzeylerinden; cinsiyet, öğrenim gördüğü bölüm, boş zamanlarını değerlendirme ve yeterli boş zaman durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunurken, yaş, sınıf, baba eğitim, anne eğitim, aile birey sayısı, gelir durumu değişkenlerine göre ise anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır.
