Several theories which are responsive for the answers to the questions concerning that what the dream, maybe the most mysterious mental activity which belongs to mankind is; took places at poems, especially at the several parts of Mesnevis as well as scientific, philosofical or tasavvufian works. In this article, we are going to try to follow the theorical enlightenments with regard to the essence and function of the dreams, sort of the dreams and interpretation of the dreams; from the Mesnevis that consigned to writining by Yûsuf Hâs Hâcib, Sultân Veled, Âşık Paşa, Hoca Mes'ûd, Mu'înî, Hamdullâh Hamdî, Lârendeli Hamdî, Vücûdî, Yahyâ Bey, Lâmi'î, Hasan Ziyâ'î, Şâhî and Sâlim Efendi. By this means, we aim to notice that what degree did the Divan Poetry in general and specificly the Mesnevis interest about the subjects that included in science, philosophy and religion; also how did the poets make use of this genre to express their opinions. Doğulu bilginlerin ilahi ve uyarıcı bir mesaj, tanrısal bir bilgi kaynağı olarak kabul ettikleri rüya ile ilgili akıl yürütmeler ulema ve urefa kadar üdebanın da zihnini meşgul etmiş, Türk-İslam edebiyatının ürettiği eserlerde de fikir malzemesi olmuştur. İnsana ait belki en gizemli zihinsel faaliyetlerden olan rüyanın ne olduğuna dair sorulara ayrıntılı cevaplar niteliğinde çeşitli teoriler ortaya konmuş, bu teoriler rüya konusunu ele alan ilmî, felsefi ya da tasavvufi eserlerin yanı sıra şiirde, hususen mesnevilerin muhtelif bölümlerinde yerlerini almıştır. Biz bu makalede Yûsuf Hâs Hâcib, Sultân Veled, Âşık Paşa, Hoca Mes'ûd, Mu'înî, Hamdullâh Hamdî, Lârendeli Hamdî, Vücûdî, Yahyâ Bey, Lâmi'î, Hasan Ziyâ'î, Şâhî ve Sâlim Efendi'nin rüyanın mahiyeti ve işlevi, rüya çeşitleri, rüyayı şekillendiren fiziksel koşullar ve rüya tabiri ile ilgili verdikleri teorik bilgileri, kaleme aldıkları mesnevilerden takip etmeye çalışacağız.
