Sumario:The article examines the collaborative rehearsal practice of Gintersdorfer/Klassen, a German-Ivorian performance group based in Berlin, Germany and in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. It argues that the group subverts dominant conceptions of art, politics, ethics, and personal commitment by creating a space of opportunity and potential. The participatory rehearsal practice of the group is considered to show how creative collaborative processes emerge beyond the theatrical stage.
