| Sumario: | The article discusses an introduction to a theory of space, which is relational as well as metaphysical. Relational theories can be of two kinds: pure and impure relational theories. Pure ones reduce the spatial things like points of space and shapes of material objects and non-spatial things. Impure ones reduce some spatial things, points and relations between them. An introduction to the void is also given along with the problem of individuation for absolute space. An ontology of space, geometrical as well as the distinction between mathematics and what it represents is given. |
