This study aimed to analyze the scientific production on the strategies used to prevent perineal lacerations after vaginal delivery. This is an integrative literature review, conducted in the period from September to December 2018, through the databases LILACS, MEDLINE and BDENF, as well as books, magazines and periodicals on the subject. The final sample consisted of 40 articles. After the thorough reading of the analyzed articles, these were classificados by semantic similarity in 03 thematic categories: "Considerations about the clinical phases of labor with emphasis on the second period of childbirth"; "Considerations about the Perineum: concept and characteristics" and "strategies for prevention of perineal lacerations". It was concluded that the perineal lacerations would draw negative impacts that compromise the health of the MUlher, bringing physical and psychological problems. It was observed that new practices are being developed to contribute to the prevention of perineal trauma during the Expul-sive period in vaginal delivery that include techniques such as: Hands off, perineal massage, use of perineal protection device, induction of Labor and perineal injection of hyaluronidase. Este estudo objetivou analisar a produção científica sobre as estratégias utilizadas para prevenção de lacerações perineais após parto vaginal. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura, realizada no período de setembro à dezembro de 2018, por meio das bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE e BDENF, assim como livros, revistas e periódicos sobre o tema. A amostra final foi constituída por 40 artigos. Após a leitura minuciosa dos artigos analisados, estes foram classificados por similaridade semântica em 03 categorias temáticas: "Considerações a cerca das fases clínicas do trabalho de parto com ênfase no Segundo período do parto"; "Considerações acerca do períneo: conceito e características" e "Estratégias para prevenção de lacerações perineais". Conclui-se que as lacerações perineais desencadeiam impactos negativos que comprometem a saúde da mulher, trazendo problemas físicos e psicológicos.
