| Sumario: | The commonly understood subject exists only as his own absolute presence. This presence, without which we are not able to think of the subject, is called life. According to this logic, death is the end of the subject, it is its destruction. Bataille shows us that if we remain in this duality of presence and absence, life and death, then life and death is something we will never truly understand. Even more so, we will not be able to get closer to the world and the things themselves. It is necessary to leave the limitations of this duality and expose ourselves to the death itself, death which completely differs from every our notion of it. Only by life and death getting intertwined, what can be called the death of the subject, the possibility of pure experience of the world and the subject itself could be opened.
