| Sumario: | An analysis of the social structure of Ukrainian society is carried out. The composition of the employed population in the groups of classes is considered, the differences in this distribution in urban and rural settlements are revealed, especially the ratio of female and male workers depending on the type of settlements. Dependence on the specialization of regions in the distribution of the employed population by groups of classes, differences in the structure of the employed population, indicators of specific gravity is revealed. The reasons, criteria of the stratification system in Ukraine, the main differences between sources of means of existence of townspeople and peasants are revealed. The age structure of the population of Ukraine and regions, in combination with the main source of livelihood, is analyzed.
