The slums of Delhi are also not an exception and this paper attempts to highlight these problems by providing facts and figures across seven slum clusters in Delhi. A field level survey was conducted in order to bring out the issues pertaining to schooling and harmonisation of administrative processes and how it helps in influencing decision on educational, health and nutrition of children within the household. The study reveals that the under-fourteen age group for gender differentials of females in education is less or almost equivalent to males, however it widens for after-fifteen age group. Though the paper did not find any reason for an embellished emphasis on child labour, there was an urgent need for counselling parents for taking school admissions for their wards at the right age, so that, they can fit into the educational framework within the stipulated time period. At the same time, the paper also discusses the issues of health and nutrition among urban households by applying binary logistic regression between the indicators of nutrition and a set of explanatory variables. The result from the analysis presents the fact that health and nutrition is significantly associated with sex of child, household size, monthly per capita expenditure, nature of employment, place of child birth, antenatal care and child vaccination.
