| Sumario: | In this interview, González Ceballos analyzes the meaning of movement and the difference between an antiracist movement and an Afro-descendent movement in Cuba. He also talks about class and racial differences, and about the meanings of racism. González Ceballos argues for the importance of an organized movement and he questions whether such movement exists in contemporary Cuba. In his opinion, the individual actions and their contributions to help and improve the social and economic situation of other Cuban black people are important in the absence of such movement. He also shares his experience as a black businessman in Cuba and the problems that Cuba's black community faces to develop their own businesses. En esta entrevista González Ceballos habla de lo que significa para el movimiento y la diferencia entre un movimiento antirracista y movimiento afrodescendiente en Cuba. González Ceballos sugiere que el movimiento organizado puede tener un importante papel en la sociedad cubana, pero cuestiona que en Cuba exista tal movimiento. En la ausencia de un movimiento organizado, la acción del individuo y lo que cada persona pueda aportar para mejorar la situación social y económica de las personas negras toma una gran relevancia. González Ceballos también comparte su experiencia como emprendedor negro y los problemas que impiden mayor creación de negocios por cubanos negros. |
